Godley Head History
The history of Godley Head is divided into three sections.
- Pre-WW2 covers the time prior to European settlement, the settler period, navigation, farming and defence.
- Second World War consisting of many pages, covering the development and operation of Godley Head as a counter-bombardment artilliary fort.
- Post-WW2 takes you through CMT (Compulsory Military Training), the camp break up, and subsequent activities on the Godley Head peninsula.
