Working Bees

Members are given the chance to get down and dirty with history. Structures are excavated, cleared and preserved. Here are some before and after photos of the Godley Head miniture range after DOC (Department of Conservation) and the Trust worked their magic.
Research and Study
All historic record is inadequate. Only persistent research of people and records can begin to clear the mists of history.
Members of the Trust conduct oral history interviews, and research archives in an ongoing effort to collect a definitive history of the Godley Head area. An extensive photographic collection is being assembled as part of the work.
The above research is forming a public database which will be available to all interested parties. Summaries of the data will appear on this website as it becomes available.
Recorded oral histories will be deposited with these internationally recognised archives

Social Events
Regular gatherings of members are encouraged to foster the sense of community and comradeship.
External Members
External membership gives access to the resources and expertise of the Trust for your own research and study. It also fosters both national and international interest in the recording and preservation of military history.
